Baton Training
This 8-hour training course is designed to give students the basic level of proficiency to carry and use a baton while on duty as a professional security officer. This training will teach you the use of force, when it may be used and civil liabilities, the areas of the body to be avoided, and every detail of the different types of baton as well as 35 different techniques for Side-Handle, PR-24, and Straight Batons, including the ASP.
Tear Gas – Pepper Spray
Our chemical spray training covers a full description of the 3 types of chemical canisters (OC, CN, CS), and products used as a self-defense weapon. Every security professional will learn the use, function, properties and reactions of each chemical spray, including legal aspects and liabilities as prescribed by P.O.S.T.
Taser Certification
Firearms Academy has put together a training program specifically designed for law enforcement officers and other individuals requiring a Taser Certification. Topics covered include an overview of the Taser electronic control devices, use‐of‐force legal and policy issues, medical information and risk alleviation.
